I field a lot of questions from clients about how to incorporate more green foods into their diet. I love these inquires because green vegetables are some of the most nutritious foods on the planet! Fresh greens are beautiful, tasty, and chock full of essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Even better… they are immune-boosting, super energizing, and they give your skin a gorgeous glow!

Now that spring has sprung and the weather is warmer, I make scrumptious green smoothies for my family nearly every day. They are especially satisfying as an after school snack for my daughters, or for me and my husband after a workout.

Greens that work well in smoothies include spinach, kale, chard, romaine lettuce, parsley, etc. I use a Vitamix, but any high-powered blender will do. Here are the links to my family’s current favorite green smoothies:

My next post will include more super green-food recipes, including  dairy-free spinach pesto, easy oven-baked kale chips, and chocolate avocado pudding. Yum!

Until next time, make every bite count!
